Fire Protection + Life Safety Engineering

Fire protection design, fire safety solutions for a complicated world.

Protect What Matters

Providing innovative, cost-effective designs covering a wide range of fire protection and life safety systems. System design entails code analysis, specifications development, and coordination of other design disciplines.

Construction administration & commissioning services for fire and life safety systems to include system shop drawings, project inspections, start-up, integrated acceptance testing, operation and maintenance consultation.

As former building and fire officials, our engineers have built a reputation for being a code review resource for design professionals, building owners and other code professionals alike to include building, fire, health and life safety regulations. This experience, as well as first-hand experience in the process of codes, standards and guidelines writing gives our staff valuable insight into how to appropriately interpret requirements and develop innovative solutions.

We specialize in developing successful code-equivalent life safety strategies, acceptable to code authorities, for the architect or developer to meet fire protection and life safety challenges unique to a building’s size, configuration, age and use. This approach to solving difficult fire protection and life safety challenges allows designers greater flexibility than traditional methods. To facilitate our equivalency work we also offer computer based fire modeling and analytical tools like the Fire Safety Evaluation System (FSES) to justify code equivalency for our clients.
